Botanic gardens Tafira Alta

In Tafira, a district of Las Palmas, you find fantastic Botanics Garden. It covers more than 30 hectares and reaches to the ravine of Guiniguada. This unique park with it uncountable species of endemic canarian vegetation, from Africa and North and South America, is definetely one of the most beautiful and richest botanic gardens in the world. 

The park was created and designed by the swedish botanist Eric Sventenius. Meanwhile, this place has also become a famous research station. No visitor of Gran Canary.should miss the oportunity be guest here at least once. Not only plants can be observed here, but also music events take place in thsi beautiful spot.

The park is divided into little theme islands - each of them showing especially chosen plants and vegetational systems. Finally, entrance to the gardens is free - what better place to enjoy natures diversity.
